About this test
What is the 16-type framework?
The 16-personality test builds on the ideas of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), describing personality through four dichotomies: Extraversion (E) vs. Introversion (I), Observant (S) vs. Intuitive (N), Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F), and Judging (J) vs. Prospecting (P). One side of each yields 16 types.
We add a fifth dimension — Identity: Assertive (-A) vs. Turbulent (-T) — capturing how you handle stress and self-evaluation, for 32 variants in total. This dimension is inspired by the neuroticism scale of Big-Five research.
Method & scoring
Questions use a 7-point Likert scale from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree" — neutrality allowed, which beats forced choices. Each item maps to one dimension; answers are weighted, summed, and normalized to 0–100% leanings.
The quick test (28 items) draws representative questions from the full bank (93) proportionally; both share the same scoring engine.
Privacy
This site is fully static with no backend database. Your answers, results, and history live only in your browser's localStorage; clearing browser data removes them for good. The only server-side logic returns a language hint from your visiting country — nothing personal is stored.
Disclaimer
This test is built on a popular personality framework with original items and write-ups. It's for fun and self-reflection — not a substitute for professional psychological assessment, medical advice, or hiring decisions. Personality is a flowing spectrum; any test is just one lens.
Language support
The site picks its language from your visiting country via IP: Chinese for mainland China visitors, English elsewhere. Toggle anytime in the header — your manual choice is remembered.
